Care guide
T-Owl textiles have been engineered to an exceptionally high standard and can be washed and tumble dried. By following our recommended care instructions, you will prolong the life of your purchase and be able to enjoy it for many years to come.
The first step to caring starts in the washing machine. For best results, we recommend a 40-degree gentle machine wash. This warm temperature is the ideal heat for removing natural body oils, bacteria and chemical detergents. When putting a load of towels in the wash, try not to overcrowd the machine so your towels have plenty of water around them to soak and wash. Do not dry clean your towels.
Whilst fabric softeners can be tempting, we recommend steering clear of them, as they repel water and reduce the absorbency of your towels. T-Owl products use superior quality yarns, making fabric softeners unnecessary.
Attending to stains immediately as they occur will result in a more effective removal. To do so, gently soak, wash or blot out the mark, and always use oxygen-based stain removers.
Be careful not to scrub your stain, as this can damage your towel fibres.
Stay away from using bleach and peroxides; and ensure bathroom cleaning products containing these chemicals are kept separately.
To protect the fibres of your towels, we recommend using a gentle eucalyptus-based washing detergent for superior colour retention. This will ensure a long-lasting, bright and colourful life.
For optimum drying, we recommend a mix of line and tumble drying.
Line drying your towel in the sun performs as a natural antibacterial agent and will assist in killing any germs, whilst tumble drying will ensure your towels keep the optimal feeling of fluffiness. We recommend drying your towels in small loads for under 20 minutes on a low to medium setting.
Once your towels are slightly damp, remove from the dryer and allow to air dry. If you are using a heated towel rail, ensure your towels are not folded over the rail in the same spot repeatedly, as this will wear down the fibres of your towel.
Always ensure your towels are completely dry before putting away, and always store them in a dry place.
